OUR MISSION
To bring together parents, youth, schools, healthcare providers, nonprofits, faith leaders, civic groups, and community partners to work side by side towards practical, informed solutions

OUR DRIVING FORCE
Youth mental and behavioral health challenges are rising—locally and nationally—and the impact is being felt in classrooms, homes,
healthcare settings, and communities.

  • 1 in 5 teens has a diagnosed mental or behavioral health condition
  • Adolescent diagnoses increased 35%between 2016 and 2023
    • Anxiety increased 61%
    • Depression increased 45%
  • Fewer than 6 in 10 youth report receiving the social and emotional support they need

These are not abstract numbers. They represent our children, our students, our neighbors, and our future.

OUR SERVICE
The Fayette Youth Behavioral Health Alliance is a county-wide collaboration committed to strengthening the mental and behavioral well-being of young people ages 10–19 in Fayette County.

We exist because no single organization, school, or family can solve this challenge alone, and because our youth deserve a system that truly listens, responds, and supports them.

OUR IMMEDIATE FOCUS: LISTENING FIRST

The Alliance is currently conducting an 8-month Community Needs Assessment to better

understand:
  • What support already exists
  • Where gaps and barriers remain
  • Which voices are missing from the conversation
  • What solutions will actually work here, in Fayette County

The result will be a clear, data-driven action plan to guide long-term, sustainable changes.
